I am terribly excited that Behemoth will be playing with KD this year.

I haven't been around much lately, so I didn't realize you guys were even here!!! So here's a belated welcome to all new members.

The new live album kicks major ass! Has anyone else picked it up yet? If so, what did you think? I personally haven't stopped listening to it yet.

I was just about to make a King Diamond community, but now that I have found this one, I don't have to.

I won't lie, I haven't been into the King that long, maybe 5 months? My friend was listening to Puppet Master, and I loved it. So i went out and bought Abigail, House of God, and Puppet Master. Now I have most of his cds, I still need Abigail 2: The Revenge.

My favorite songs would have to be Black Devil, Abigail, and No Presents for Christmas.

I bought his "Best Of" album, released by RoadRunner records, along with the Mercyful Fate Best Of. What's your opinion of these albums?

I love both of them, even though I prefer King's solo band to Mercyful Fate. They truly have some of the best songs, although I think Black Devil should have been on there.

Well that's really all I have to say.

Hail King Diamond

Here are two posts that were placed in each of my bands' respective guestbooks:

"I think it's awesome you guys are back. I think you're stuff is great. I followed Chris when he went to that other band, Gray something but it just wasn't the same. I guess it's different when it's YOUR band, anywaysm, ALL HAIL DS! When can I get a new album??"

....and of course....

You guys are ok but I was happy to hear Chris is going back to where he belongs. I always thought him and DS were great.

First of all, I do not "belong" anywhere. Yes, Divine Silence is the band that I co founded many years back (and I am very glad we are doing things again), but I am also extremely happy with Grey Skies Fallen. No one can argue the fact that we (GSF) have written some incredible songs lately; songs which I am very much a part of creating. Now, on the off chance that there really are people who are big fans of mine and follow every move I make, believe me, I am very flattered. Reality though dictates otherwise, because I am basically a nobody. In closing, I would like to say to those who are trying to persuade me to leave GSF to save their energy. I am not going anywhere because last time I checked, it was MY life.

This is an autographed photo that I got when I saw King on the H.O.G. tour. You can't see all of the signitures that well, but I did the best I could.

This is a funny picture that I found in an old Metal rag that I had in storage. I really thought it was hilarious.

The caption reads: Heaven and hell met at the artist panel, where Strypers Robert Sweet and King Diamond, originally slated to sit on the dais' opposite ends, decided to sit together.
I just thought that was worth posting. Later.

This has probably been asked before, but oh well. Who is your favorite king diamond guitarist (other than Andy Larocque), and why? I say other than andy because no one's better than Andy. And I say why because you have to think about it. THinking is good. I should tell y'all mine...
My favorite KD guitarist other than Andy Larocque is either MIke Denner or Mike WEad, since both of them did very well in complimenting and embracing the style of King DIamond's vocals and Andy's insane solos. Woosh. THat's all for now.

So, I was reading Blabbermouth last nite...I think that ATV accident that Ozzy was in knocked some sense into him, cuz it seems like he stopped listening to his son and Sharon...here is the lineup as of now for Ozzfest:

Mainstage:
Ozzy Osbourne (not sure if it's gonna be solo or Sabbath)
JUDAS PRIEST
SLAYER
The Darkness (eh, doesn't bother be either way, I know Anna will be happy)

Second Stage:
Dimmu Borgir
Superjoint Ritual
Slipknot (hahahahaha, Ozzy knocked them off the mainstage!!!!)

So...looks like I'll be going this year. HOLY SHIT!!!! I JUST REALIZED THAT HALFORD IS BACK W/ PRIEST, THIS WILL BE EVEN COOLER!!!!!!!!!

Today, I was informed by a good friend of mine that the last Metal club in New York, L'amours-"The Rock Capitol Of Brooklyn," has been shut down for good. They were closed for the month of January for renovations, and were supposed to have their first show back on this Saturday. They ended up losing their lease, which is probably something else that was being worked out over the month. This club had so many great acts over the years, and jump-started many careers. I had the honor of playing the club twice, and seeing great bands like Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal, Macabre, Dying Fetus (opened for them), OverKill, Magus Beast, King Diamond, Children Of Bodom, Nevermore, and Dimmu Borgir. Probably have seen a few more, but my memory is kind of shot. Hopefully they will re-open in the very very very near future, for the scene's sake, for our sake, and for the staff running the place. They could be the meanest assholes, but if you were cool to them, they treated you like you were family. Hell, one of the staff gave me a few bottles of water for free, which normally cost $3. Met many great people at the club, met a few enemies as well. Good luck to the staff in finding new work.

Goodbye, L'amours, been some great times, hopefully I'll see you again...

Puppet Master [10 Feb 2004|08:43pm]

Holy Fuck! After the last couple of disapointing KD and MF albums, I wasn't really looking forward to The Puppet Master. I am SO glad he proved me wrong. TPM fucking kicks ass. The music, the story, and the lyrics all kick ass. I downloaded the mp3's from the net, but because I want to support the King, I went and purchased the CD. I encourage you all to do the same...if you care about the King and his music, please purchase all his cd's so he can continue to make albums that kick are asses.

FORCE OF EVIL [07 Feb 2004|03:12pm]

I just got the new Force of Evil cd the other day. For those who don't know, Thats the band featuring Hank Sherman, Mike Denner, and other members of Mercyful Fate and King Diamond. I thought it was really good. The singer sounds kind of like Rob Halford, and it just sounds like a good ole classic metal album. I hope to hear more from them.(as long as it doesn't hinder Mercyful Fate from making a new album)Anyway, If you get the chance you should really check it out. Thats all for now. Stay heavy!\m/
Btw, If any of you have heard it, let me know what you think.

This is gonna sound reaaaaaaly stupid...but on Abigail II: the Revenge, in the song "The Crypt," after the point in the lyrics where it's like "..and it said 'abigail'", Andy's solo there. Is it just me, or does he do a sort of...what would you call it...umm...well, I thought I heard him play a lick that sounded like the intro bit to the song "Abigail" on the original Abigail CD. Am I just crazy, or is this the case?
